Our worship committee aims to discover what worship means to our children and investigate how worship helps us to reflect on its messages. It supports our staff and children with their own personal spiritual development. The committee will meet once every half term and will use our Christian values of belonging, perseverance, responsibility, caring, honesty, reflection and respect, to support the work they complete around the school. It is an inclusive and structured forum where the children can have their own voice in relation to worship at school. They aim to make worship lively, engaging and fun whilst listening to others and discussing ways that they can enhance the worship experience for all.
Since the start of our worship committee, the children have started to take on more leadership roles in worship and, as a school, we have started to sing a wider range of hymns. We have strong links to our local church, St George’s, and enjoy numerous services, at celebration times, within the church setting.
